Year 1 Discuss Sustainability

A Plastic Mountain

Year 1 had a sustainability lesson where we looked at all soft plastic the school had collected over the last four weeks. We called it ‘Plastic mountain’ and discussed how we were saving it from going to landfill by recycling it at a local REDcycle.

Waste Free Wednesday initiative

This is in preparation for the start of the NMPS Waste Free Wednesday initiative, which is begins this week. The school is working towards having less plastic waste by encouraging students to bring rubbish-free lunchboxes.
