Wellbeing update
Welcome to term 3 holidays! We hope you all have a wonderful break. Term 3 has been a busy and exciting time for Wellbeing at Koonung. We’ve been focusing setting up our new Wellbeing Space which will be open to students and staff from the beginning of term 4.
Breakfast Club: Fridays at 8.15 – 8.40am in Food Tech Rooms
The aim of the Breakfast Club is to create an open, inclusive space for students and staff to start their day off by coming together to socialise and share some delicious breakfast options, while having a chat and listening to music.
It has been wonderful to see so many students and staff coming along each week to spend time together before the start of the school day.
A huge thank you to our Food Tech team and our student volunteers, who continue to be a huge support to the Breakfast Club.
Monday Funday - Mondays at lunch time in A Block
Monday Funday is a lunch time club just for year 7 students – come along and play some board games and puzzles and have the opportunity to socialise with other students outside of your class.
Wellbeing Wednesdays: Lunchtime A2
Wellbeing Wednesday is open to all students and aims to promote student wellbeing in a variety of ways. Run with the assistance of the Wellbeing Captains, activities are different each week and might include craft, mindfulness, movement, trivia, games, chill out space as well as guest speakers.
One of our fabulous year 7 students Kara Tan has developed a website to share her experiences of Monday Funday and Wellbeing Wednesday. Click on the link to find out more!
