Book Week 2023 at St Cecilia’s

The Annual St Cecilia’s BOOK WEEK Parade is back!

Friday August 25th, in the Hall, from 9.00am-9.30am.

Parents are welcome to come along.

On this day, students may come to school dressed as their favourite book character, using things you already have at home.

They may also like to bring the book their character is from to school, too.

Additionally, during Book Week (August 21st-25th), students will explore the CBCA shortlisted books for 2023 and listen to our guest author, Tim Harris, speak.

Some classes may also organise a visit from a Mystery Reader! Look out for an email next week from your child’s teacher if you are interested in participating.

Book Swap to support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation

On Friday 18th August, Cecilia’s school are hosting a Book Swap. We are now asking families to donate a preloved books to our Book Swap. Please bring in any books you are willing to donate to your classroom. The SRC’s will collect the books from the classrooms. On the day of the Book Swap, students will be asked to donate a gold coin which will allow them to choose a book to take home.

Dear St Cecilia's School parents,

A quick update on the MS Read-a-thon. St Cecilia's has really stated off with a bang! We already have 44 registered readers and have raised an incredible $769 to support families suffering from MS.

Thank you to the already overwhelming support.

You can still register your children (or yourself) by clicking on 'Join us' on the page below.
