Year 4 having been learning different strategies to help with Problem Solving. At the moment we are focusing on the strategy of 'Acting it Out or Using Concrete Material.' 

It can be helpful to use objects (concrete materials) to represent the people or things in the problem. These objects can be moved through the steps of the problem. It can also be helpful for students to act out the roles of the different participants in the problem. 

Here are some of the problems we solved using this strategy. Have a go at solving them yourself!
