From the Principal

Week 8 Term 2 2023

Dear Parents and Carers

Whole School Athletics Day

Our Whole school athletics day will be held on this coming Monday the 24th July at Doncaster athletics track. ( George st). Parents are requested to drop their child/ren off at the track in the morning.  Staff will already be at the track setting up. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.

Thank you to those parents who have volunteered to assist on the day. Parents may collect their child from the track at the conclusion of the event. For those parents who are unable to do this buses have been organised to bring the remaining students back to school where they will be supervised until the end of the day.  It is important that parents indicate on the Operoo form if their child is to return to school by bus.  We look forward to a wonderful day. There is no rain forecast!

School uniform

A reminder that all students should be wearing the correct school uniform. This includes black shoes with the school uniform and runners are only to be worn on sport days with the sport uniform. If for any reason your child is not in the correct school uniform a note must be provided to their classroom teacher.

Yr 3/4 Camp

We wish all our Year 3/4 students and the adults attending the Camp at Philip Island next week a wonderful time.

Camps are a wonderful opportunity for children to use both their resilient and  cooperation skills.

For some students, this is their first time away from home so a feeling of nervousness is expected. A reminder to the 3/4 parents to complete all medical forms if your child requires medication. Rosalie Silvers one of  our Prep teachers will be attending camp and Kitty Wood will be taking Rosalie's Prep class.

Fr John 40th Anniversary of Ordination

Please find an invitation to Fr John's ordination Anniversary

Naplan

The school is expecting the Student Naplan data very soon. Once we receive it we will pass it on to all parents.

Have a great week

Brian
