Teaching & Learning
At St Joseph's, our curriculum, designed for students from Prep to Year Six, is centred around fostering academic excellence, instilling essential life skills, and promoting holistic development. With an explicit teaching approach, we endeavour to deliver a curriculum that assists all children in reading their full potential.
Teaching & Learning
We believe in delivering an evidence based Teaching and Learning program. Teachers and curriculum leaders work closely together in Professional Learning Sessions and planning time to plan for authentic learning experiences. We have a strong emphasis on collecting and analysing data to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our students.
We apply a cumulative approach to learning from Prep to Year Six, where students build upon the skills taught in previous years.

Intervention & Support
Various intervention programs are in place for students from Prep to Year Six. Our Learning Diversity Leader, Rebekah Skehan, works collaboratively with curriculum leaders and classroom teachers to identify students who may require additional support across all curriculum areas.
Intervention programs are not limited to English and Mathematics, but extend to supporting students with their social and emotional skills.
Our dedicated Learning Support Officers work closely with all teachers to provide support to students both within and outside of the classroom.
