Senior Head Appointed

Acting Head of Senior School Announced

In light of Mr Boyd's resignation from Kinross Wolaroi at the conclusion of last year I have invited Mrs Sue-Ann Gavin to undertake the role of Acting Head of Senior School until a full-time appointment is made.

Mrs Gavin is a vastly experienced educator who has had extensive experience across the full life of the School. With over 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of educational settings Mrs Gavin has not only acquired extensive curriculum knowledge but has demonstrated her ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the School. 

She is currently the Director of The Regional Engagement Enterprise and has previously held the roles of Year 7 Coordinator, Head of Loader Boarding House, SRC Coordinator, TREE Co-curricular Coordinator and Head of Social Science. 

Mrs Gavin has also had the opportunity to explore education in diverse educational settings including the United States, Singapore and Victoria. She shall continue to oversee the TREE program while Acting as Head of Senior School.

Mrs Gavin has a Bachelor of Education (Social Sciences) from the University of Sydney and joined the staff at Kinross Wolaroi School in 2007. She has also completed the School Leadership Colloquium as part of the National Excellence in Schools Leadership Initiative.

We will commence our search for a new Head of Senior School very shortly. I am sure that you will join with me in congratulating Sue-Ann on her new Acting appointment and will wish her every success with her new challenge.
