Message from

Dr Andrew Parry

Welcome

Welcome back to the start of a new School year and I hope that you have all had a restorative break with your families and friends. The start of the year is always a special time, with new students and staff joining the Kinross Wolaroi community, new relationships and exciting conversations beginning anew after the summer months. We extend a very special welcome to our new pupils and families who are joining the School this year.

As we begin a new year, the challenges of the pandemic are still with us and will remain a focus for the Australian community and our School. The health and safety of our students, staff and community remains my primary concern. We are carefully planning and implementing our response to the health advice from the NSW Government. As you know, this advice continues to evolve; as we respond, we will continue to communicate with families in a timely way. Today’s message provides you with a comprehensive update on the latest advice that is available to us.

We are living in challenging times. If any of your children are struggling with their return to school or recent events, then please let your child's Head Mentor or Head of Boarding House know so we can best support them whilst they are with us at School. Some useful links can be found below which may be of assistance for families:

For this new year, our expectation is that every pupil at Kinross Wolaroi will immerse themselves fully into their lessons, learning, house life, boarding life and the co-curricular life of our School. It is well known that the more involved students become in school life, the more successful they will be. We are asking them to strive to be their best in everything that they do. In this task, students will be supported and guided by the School's dedicated and talented staff; they are here to help. We have high expectations of our pupils, and we expect them to live, behave and treat each other with our School values at heart, namely: courage, respect, inclusiveness, resilience and commitment. By adopting this approach our pupils will make a positive impact to both the Kinross Wolaroi community and further afield.

In this edition of the Bulletin you will find important information ahead of the start of Term which I hope is clear and proves to be of assistance. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if clarification is needed. Further details about School events will be provided to you in the fortnightly bulletin and I would encourage you to take time to read through this when it arrives starting Week 2 of this Term.

I very much look forward to seeing our students back on campus for 2022.

With kind regards,

Dr Andrew Parry
