Principal’s Message

Mrs Kath Baird

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another successful week here at Sacred Heart School where we have had many opportunites to celebrate student achievement and recognition within our school and wider community.

Our Induction Mass was a great occasion to recognise our school leadership team and the Student Representative Council for 2022. It is very encouraging that we have students in the SRC representing all stage groups from K-6 and I look forward to sharing with the school and wider community the initiatives planned by this group of students.

This week we also have several students representing our school at both Diocesan and Polding sporting events. This is a great honour and we wish Molly every success at the Polding tennis trials,  as well as Dougie, Grace, Xanthia, Oscar, Coen, Evie, Felicity and Molly who are competing at the Diocesan  Swimming trials this Thursday.

This Tuesday we will be hosting our annual PTF AGM and Parent Information Night, commencing at 5:30pm. We hope to see as many parents and carers as possible to discuss the direction for student learning this year as well as provide an avenue for parents to volunteer in the school community.

Confirmation enrolment will take place at Sacred Heart Church this Saturday at 4pm. Students participating in the sacrament of Confirmation this year will need to attend with their parent/s.

Our 2023 Transition to School program will be commencing at the beginning of Term 2. This term we will host three events for parents and new students to attend. We will be begin with an Open Morning on Wednesday 23 March where parents and children will be able to see how Kindergarten at Sacred Heart School works. If you know of anyone intending to enrol for 2023 please encourage them to contact me at the school.

As the term continues please remember that if you have any concerns, queries or questions don't hesitate to make contact with us and we can help you out. Our mission is to ensure that we can support students to feel safe, valued, cared for and respected so they can continue to be happy and engaged learners.

Best wishes to Xanthia who celebrates her birthday this Saturday. We wish you every happiness for the year to come.

Take care

Kath Baird
