RAHT Kits for Weeks 3 and 4 | Booster Update

RAHT Kit Distribution

The School has received a further supply of Rapid Antigen Test kits from the NSW Government to continue twice-weekly testing for another two weeks.

These will be distributed as follows:

  • IF YOUR ELDEST CHILD IS IN YEARS 7-12: The kits will be handed out in Mentor Groups on Friday 11 February and students will be asked to put them directly into their bags.

  • IF YOUR ELDEST CHILD IS IN KINDERGARTEN TO YEAR 6: You can collect your test kits at the Stop and Go Zone outside the Junior School on Thursday 10 February or Friday 11 February between 8.20am and 8.45am.

  • IF YOUR ELDEST CHILD IS IN PRE-KINDER: You will collect your kits from Pre-K staff at drop off time.

Each package will include four tests for each student in your family, to be used on the mornings of Monday and Wednesday of Week 3 and Week 4, before coming to school (this will vary slightly for Pre-K).

If your eldest child is in the Senior School please alert them that they will be responsible for bringing home the tests and check that they have arrived safely on Friday afternoon.

To date we are very pleased with the outcome from the surveillance testing. We rely on our families’ support of the testing program for its continued success and I would like to extend my warm thanks to everyone for their efforts to keep our students and staff safe.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to your child’s House Mentor or Class Teacher in the first instance.

When will students be able to get a booster shot?

The Australian Government has announced that from 3 February 2022, eligible Australians aged 16 and 17 years old will be able to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccine three months after their second dose.

We are optimistic that our community will continue to maintain a high level of vaccination so that our students can maintain their normal learning and life, relatively uninterrupted by the pandemic.

More information on vaccination is available here: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/vaccine/Pages/default.aspx
