Junior School Sport 

It is great to be back out on the sports fields again in 2022. We have much to look forward to this term with the swimming and athletics carnivals and conclusion of our summer sport competitions. 

Junior School Swimming carnival

When: Friday 18 February

More info regarding this will be sent via email, unfortunately given the current restrictions, we are unable to invite parents to this event.      

Athletics Trials – all 2022 Year 2-6 students

When: Monday and Wednesday 3:30-4:30pm

Dates: 21-23 March, 28 and 30 March, 4-6 April

Junior School Athletics Carnival: Thursday 7 April

Cricket

Our U12 cricketers have had 2 tough games in recent weeks with batting collapses resulting in defeats after strong bowling performances. Despite this, outstanding batting from Sam Commins and Tom Hughes almost brought home the win for us against Millthorpe CC. 

We have plenty of cricket on the horizon and are still a shot at making the finals. The U12 game from the holidays has been rescheduled to 15th Feb at Cutcliffe oval at 4:30pm. 

Touch Football

Kinross U8 

8 December 2021

Captain – Liam McCormack

Score – Kinross = 3 = 1

The Kinross U8 team all showed great sportsmanship. It had poured with rain before the game and a couple of us were thinking we may be down in players but everyone showed up and played so well together.

Digby played really well after returning for his first touch game.

Janagan scored the opening try of the match. Finlay scored the 2nd and 3rd try.

The U8 Kinross team won and they all did a wonderful job. Well Done.

Kinross U9 vs OPS Blues

The Kinross U9 Touch played against OPS Blues. They scored a 3-2 win on Wednesday, 2/2/22. Jack and Disha scored tries. Mya made some good runs, Ben defended well. Daniel Kerdic made some good runs across the field. Liz and Andie were busy defending and stopped many attacking raids from OPS. Harriet and Daniel Hayward supported the plays and were solid all over the field. Keep up the good work KWS U9s!!
