Principal's Report

Welcome back to the 2022 school year, we hope that all of our families had a lovely Christmas and New Year break. We are excited to see our students return in 2022, as well as a number of new families who have joined our school community this year. We also welcome our new Foundation families to Clyde PS and it was lovely to see the Foundation students enjoying their first days of primary school.

Our school newsletter link will be sent each fortnight on a Friday to our school community. Many of our newsletters celebrate the achievements of our students and our school events. This may include photos of students, whose parents have provided permission for us to use their photos. If you have not yet completed this permission form on Compass, I encourage you to do so, as we are unable to publish your child's photo in the newsletter without this done.

Breakfast Club

As of Tuesday February 8th, our Breakfast Club is reopening!

Similar to the end of last year, our volunteers will be running an outdoor Grab and Go menu. We will have toast, fruit, and other snacks available (as well as juice and milo) with each snack designed to promote a healthy start to the day. 

We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note: Given that we will be outdoors, the program shall be weather dependant and is scheduled to run Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8.15-8.45 from the outside of the Foundation Building.

Parents and friends, while we have a dedicated roster of volunteers who assist with the running of our Breakfast Club each week, we could not offer this program without community support. However, many hands make light work and we are always looking for more parents and friends to help out. If this interests you, or you would like more information, please contact the school office.

Staffing News

Over the holidays, Karen Carpenter (education support), Sam Schubert (music teacher) and Katherine Lee (Auslan teacher) finished at Clyde PS, as they took on positions at other schools. We are currently running recruitment processes to fill these positions as quickly as possible. We wish Karen, Sam and Katherine all the best in their new positions!

Booklists

This year, parents will need to order  books and stationery through Office Corporate. 

Below is the link for our book list orders for those parents who have not yet ordered books. We encourage you to order very quickly, so that they can be delivered to school next week.

A reminder also to add the headphones to your cart if your children need them. Foundation students already have them in their book boxes.

Reminders for Term 1

• All students must have a Clyde PS hat. Otherwise they will be unable to play with their friends in the yard. You can buy a hat from the school office or via the Qkr! app
• Canteen is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Students from Year 3-6 must have a mask on indoors.
• Positive COVID-19 results should be reported to the school via phone or email.
