Principal's News

Dear Parents / Carers,

If there was any doubt of the season we are in, last weekend definitely told the story.  Great rains over the two days have both rivers and dams in our local communities brimming and were a nice excuse to stay indoors and watch some of the Olympic highlights.

In news we have all been waiting for, Daniel Andrews has announced this morning that lockdown will cease at midnight tonight and that schools will resume tomorrow, Wednesday July 28th. The Premier thanked all Victorians for their commitment to follow the COVID-19 rules and halt a further spread of the virus.  We thank you for your patience and cooperation during Remote Learning.  We very much look forward to welcoming the children back to the school tomorrow morning and thank them also for their participation and creativity in learning in a way that is different for us all.  Some examples of work shared this week are set out below.

Any devices or school books that have been at home will need to be brought back to school with the children tomorrow so that they are ready for class.

A reminder that, to continue the great work done in lockdown, that if we have symptoms, then we should stay home and get tested. On our return to school, tomorrow, we ask that mask wearing, hand sanitising and use of QR codes for any parents who need to enter the school building continue at this time.

Canteen

At this stage there will be no canteen until further notice.

Sacramental Program

Unfortunately our planned presentation Mass for the children beginning their Eucharist and Confirmation, like all gatherings, did not go ahead.  However, stay tuned, as there are alternate plans in the making as to how this sacramental preparation and celebration will proceed.  Our thanks to Julie, our Religious Education Leader for coordinating this with Fr. Michael and the Parish Sacramental team.
