ABOUT THE MS READATHON

The MS Readathon inspires kids to read as much as they can, all for one incredible cause. The rules are simple. Read whatever you like, as much as you can, throughout the month of August.

Children can register with their school or individually. Best of all, by joining our quest, not only will you awaken a love of reading,  you will also be helping kids who have a parent with multiple sclerosis.

THE FUN-FILLED MS READATHON

While we all appreciate a classic, we also know that children today want a modern approach (as do their time-poor parents).

So, to make the MS Readathon more fun than ever before, we’ve built a fun, interactive website that lets kids write book reviews and rate their favourite reads. Fundraising has never been more fun. Kids love the MS Readathon and it’s never been easier or more exciting to take part.

Grade 2 News

This term the Grade 2s are learning about the needs and wants of living things in our science unit. This week in particular, we have been learning about the needs and wants of animals and excitedly welcomed a ‘virtual excursion’ from the RSPCA.

We met some amazing animals from all walks of life including cows, rescue ponies and some of their other woolly paddock animals. We learnt how to take care of the animals by following the 5 needs of freedom. For more information about this, you can visit the RSPCA’s website here. In light of learning about the needs and wants of animals we have been putting our knowledge into caring for our ‘pet rocks’. We have been giving them a habitat, food, friends and toys. Below are some photos of our new pets!
