School Counsellor

Emily Bieber - at Kalinda on Tuesdays  and Thursdays in Term 3.

Dear lockdown champions.

Motivation levels at an all-time low? You are not alone. The catchcry is “take it a day at a time” but perhaps take an hour at a time? I have been trying to embrace some of the energy and positivity I managed to maintain during our big lockdown of 2020. Not an easy exercise.

My plan this week is to make coconut ice – a bit of a nostalgic treat for me. And my kids have no idea what it is, so it’s time to show them some real culture!

If you are feeling some sort of motivation, get ready for my favourite sewing trick that you can do with your kids. The video is a little cheesy but you will learn how to make reusable, fabric dishcloths: goodbye synthetics and goodbye microplastics in our waterways!

On a serious note – if you need support with your mental health, or know someone that does, please ask any of the staff at KPS and we will support you.

Drop me a line or give me a call if you would like any information.
