Medical Information

Please don't send children to school unwell. If your child is sent home due to cold like symptoms, they will be required to get a Covid test before returning. If your child has any new medical information, please ensure to update details with the Front Office ladies straight away. Any medicine your child is taking must also go through the Front Office. It should not be given to classroom teachers or kept in your child’s bag for self-administration.

Winter Uniform

Students should be in full school winter uniform. If you have any issues with this or your child is out of uniform for a particular reason, could you please send in a note to their classroom teacher or speak to Mrs Dal Santo. This includes jackets and ties. If it is really cold students may wear a plain jumper under their jackets, but then remove it during the day if they get too warm, while still leaving on their school jacket.

Cyber Safety

The internet is one of the best resources for learning and entertainment, however, there have been a few incidents involving students at school and the usage of video games and apps around swearing, students playing games against older people or strangers and group chats involving exclusion. We ask you to be aware of the programs your child is using and the hazards that surround them. The majority of of sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Musical.ly and Fortnight are for children 12 years and over and shouldn’t be used by our K-5 students. If your child is over 12 and using these, please consider the following suggestions for their safety:

  • Know the website your child is using and use it yourself so you know exactly what it involves.
  • Make sure they use the site in a common place – not in their bedrooms with a closed door.
  • Be aware – encourage your child to talk about what they’re doing online and whom they are doing it with.
  • Make sure they are not being charged for products or usage when they are free.
  • Ensure that they are not disclosing personal information or sharing passwords.
  • Check for a privacy policy on the sites they are visiting.
