Year 9 Career Development @ Viewbank College 2021

Career Development is a vital element of a school’s curriculum, it gives all students an opportunity to discover many of their attributes and aptitudes.

Our College offers many diverse career activities and workshops tailored to each year level cohort throughout the academic year, these programs aim to assist students to engage in an area of learning they enjoy and are passionate about with a view to a future career.

During the next few weeks our Year 9 students will be participating in Career workshops. In these sessions students will be creating their career profile with “The Career Department.” A career tool used in many schools across the country. Students have started the workshop in good form, they have been eager to learn more about themselves and to discover many different careers. Once the students log on to the software tool, they have able to gain insight into their attributes and personalities which then links them to careers that may be interested in.
