Ciao, welcome back to Term 3, hope you all had a restful break.

 

This term:

All Foundation students are listening to a story about Pinocchio and his adventures at the fair called Zucchero Filato. (Fairy floss). They will be revising what was learnt last term, counting, the body parts song and a good morning song.  We will also learn the language associated with greetings, numbers 1 -10 and learning some of the colours. They will be learning how to say, Today is…… (Oggi e` …………)

 

All Year 1 and 2 students are listening to a story about a little brother and his adventures at the shops. They will revise family members and learn the names of fruits and vegetables in Italian. The students will practise reading the date in Italian.

 

Year 3AK, 3KW, 4AU, 4JS are listening to a story about the snow. They will learn about winter clothing and language associated with the snow. They will continue revising the language associated with greetings, numbers and colours. They will also learn how to answer, What are you doing? (Cosa fai?)   They will learn some basic actions in Italian. The students will practice reading the date in Italian. The other Year 3 and 4 classes will have Italian next term.  Please remind those classes to access Duo lingo to keep on practising the Italian language.

 

Year 5SM, 5EB, 5JA, 6BS, 6JS students are learning to tell the time in Italian. They are also learning about how to use ordinal numbers depending on gender.  They will also be revising Italian weather, months, days of the week and learning how to count from 30 -100.  The other Year 5 and 6 classes will have Italian next term.  Please remind those classes to access Duo lingo to keep on practising the Italian language.
