You would take a group of no more than eight students from Year 3 to 6 for 8 weeks. Each session runs Friday afternoons from 2:30 to 3:25pm. Activities can be anything that enables our students to be creative, develop a new skill, or contribute to our school culture or environment. Past activities have included gardening, conservation, science experiments, performance, dance, and a wide variety of artistic outlets.

The rotations will begin on August 13th, with sessions running on the following Fridays:

August 20th, 27th

September 3rd, 10th

October 15th, 22nd, 29th

November 5th Showcase!

The program will culminate in a showcase, presenting all the groups hard work over the semester, including static displays and performances, on the 5th of November.

All volunteers will be required to sign in at the office and have a current Working with Children Check and this can be acquired without charge at ww.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au and list MPRPS as the location for volunteering.

If you are able to assist in running an activity or would like to help others, please contact the office by 21/6/21.

Feel free to contact us at school if you have any questions or concerns before committing.

Inquiry Centre Parents - Calling All Scientists!

Dear Parents/Carers,

In Term Three, students in the Inquiry Centre will be focusing on the topic “Science All Around Us”. Throughout this unit, we will be exploring a range of different scientific areas, including biology, chemistry, geology etc.

We would love to invite parents/carers or members of our MPRPS community who have expertise in any area of Science to come and share briefly with our students in their classes.

If you would like to be part of this, please send an Sentral message to your child’s class teacher with the area of Science that you would be able to share about and if there are particular days/times that would suit you best to either Zoom in or come to visit. We will then be in contact to chat about the details and provide further information!

Kind regards,

The Inquiry Centre Team
