Access eBooks during Remote Learning

The EDSC Library continues to serve students during periods of remote learning by providing eBooks, audiobooks, and online study guides.

Students can borrow eBooks and audiobooks from the Sora library app or the EDSC Library website.

Sora allows all of EDSC’s eBooks and audiobooks to be accessed easily on devices anytime, anywhere.

Sora can be accessed online at soraapp.com or can be downloaded to phones from app stores for use outside of school. Instructions on how to use Sora are available on our Library website.

Online study guides to assist students with their research and assignments in a range of subjects, including English and History, can be access on the EDSC Library website.

Year 7 author visit during Book Week

Year 7 students will be visited by author Lili Wilkinson in August as part of Book Week.

Lili will talk to students on August 25 about her popular young adult books and her writing process, and will answer questions from students.

Lili has written sixteen books for young people across a range of genres. Her titles include The Erasure Initiative, After the Lights Go Out, and Green Valentine.

She previously worked at the Centre for Youth Literature at State Library Victoria, and has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Melbourne.

Year 7 students are encouraged to read Lili’s books before she visits. Her books and eBooks are available to borrow from the EDSC Library.

Further plans for Book Week will be revealed by the EDSC Library team soon.
