Awesome Room 13 Authors:

Last week room 13's awesome authors showcased their writing by holding a book fair. The children were really proud of the books they published and I thoroughly enjoyed their enthusiasm, production values and stories.

Sarah Merritt is now in our Senior School but had previously been a

 room 13 author and became so inspired that she has continued her writing habit. Sarah has so far written 67 books. Her production values are outstanding and she served as a wonderful role model for our current room 13, year 3 and 4 writers.

Grace is another who took inspiration from this opportunity to publish and share her work this way previously.

Grace spoke to parents and year 3 and 4 authors at the end of the day. This is what she shared, "Hello, I'm Grace, and I was in room 13 in 2020. I started writing as part of our classroom Daily 5 Programme. My first book was 'Mila and the Leaves.' It developed into a series of nine books in total. I  am so proud that these younger children have followed in my footsteps. We Love to Learn to Read. Thank you."

Triton wrote a book about dragons he invented - they are fearsome and imaginative.
