Parent Information

Our uniform shop (located in the main building) is open each Tuesday & Friday at 9am.

School Parking/Drop Off

Parents are not permitted to use the school’s main Forbes Street entrance as a drop off (including kiss 'n' drop) or pick up point between 8.20am and 9.30am, and between 3pm and 4.10pm.  This area is used in those times for bus and staff access only.

Brackenbury Street is a ONE WAY street during the hours of 8am to 9.15am, and 3pm to 4pm on school days.  This means that to pick-up or drop-off children at the school, drivers must proceed up Anderson Street to enter Brackenbury Street.

MORNING PARKING:

· The south side (school side) of Brackenbury Street is for drop off only.  No parking is permitted.

· The north side is for 90 degree angle reverse parking only for those parents who wish to leave their vehicle.

 AFTERNOON PARKING:

· Reverse angle parking is permitted on both sides of Brackenbury Street in the afternoon.

The Warrandyte Primary School Reconciliation Action Plan working group is wanting to commence for 2022. Our Reconciliation Action Plan is our formal statement of commitment to promoting reconciliation between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The group looks to help our school and community to support Reconciliation. Last year we assisted with arranging for the painting of the water tank by a local Indigenous artist and the installation of the 3 flagpoles which enables us to fly the three flags; both of these were possible with the RAP school grant from Bendigo Bank. We have many more ideas and exciting plans for WPS this year.

If you would like to know more about joining this group or know someone who might, as the more people the better, please send me an email and we will try to arrange for a meeting one evening soon that might suit (email: dioneveal@hotmail.com)

Parent Fee Schedule 2022

The 2022  Booklist, fee schedule, term 1 & 2 excursion planners, have been entered onto COMPASS.  We ask parents/carers to please pay these fees as soon as possible.

As you can imagine there are many resources required to running a school and providing excellence in learning opportunities for students. Funding from DET does not cover the cost of everything we want to provide to all our students.

Our school now relies on the generous and voluntary support of parents and community members to make up shortfalls in funding.

School Council  would be very grateful of your over and above financial support for all students learning in 2022.

If anyone is having financial difficulties, please contact either the office or Nieta, the Principal, for a confidential discussion.
