Extraordinary Sacrament of Confirmation
On Pentecost Sunday, 5th June, our Parish celebrated an extraordinary Mass for four candidates - Baxter Knapman, Cooper Whitton, Cohen Walton and Henry Maslen - who were unable to attend their Sacrament of Confirmation with their peers in March. It was fitting that their Confirmation Mass was celebrated on Pentecost Sunday. This is the time our Church celebrates the Holy Spirit coming upon the Disciples, like tongues of fire, and giving them the gift of being able to speak the various languages of the earth so the word of God could be proclaimed and understood by all nations.
Primary Mass & Infants Liturgy
Last Thursday, Years 5 and 6 attended Parish Mass at St Joseph’s Church. Later that day, all Infants classes attended their Term 2 Infants Liturgy which had been wonderfully prepared by the Year 2 teachers. It was a beautiful Liturgy and was shared by many family members who were able to join us for the proclamation of the Word. Afterwards, Fr Samson blessed some water for Kindergarten to bless themselves with in their classroom, as part of their current Religious Education lessons.
Today, Years 3 and 4 are attended Parish Mass at 9:15am. This Mass will mark the first class Mass Year 3 have attended since a lot of the students made the Sacrament of First Eucharist a few weeks ago!
