Year 8 Camp: Campaspe Downs

We attended the Year 8 Camp at Campaspe Downs and had a great time. We were able to do some fun stuff like flying fox and canoeing. The food was good, and we had fun playing sport in the big gym and playing downball in the hall. The night activities were also fun. Thank you to all the teachers who came with us as well.

I was a little apprehensive about going to camp, but I quickly made friends. When it came to the activities the teachers were very supportive and constantly encouraged the students to participate. In addition to talking to individuals I wouldn't normally chat to, I made a few new connections. The activities were highly interesting and constantly required cooperation and teamwork. I can't express how grateful I am to Mr. O’Leary and Mr. Williams for making camp such a good time. Thanks to them, the disco and trivia featured some fun and humour! Thank you for making camp a wonderful experience.

Our Year 8 camp was a really great experience for everyone. We did a lot of activities that included teamwork and using our initiative. The activities we did were, canoeing, flying fox, outside laser tag, centipede, archery, sensory trail and orienteering. There was a gym and a hall which is where a lot of people hung out with their friends during our free time. 

The first night we did a disco which was really fun, and we did different things throughout the night to make it even better. The second night we did a trivia with our activity groups and that was very fun because it brought the teams closer by working with each other and had another small disco to end off the night. Overall, the camp was a fantastic experience with meeting new people and making new friends.
