Spotlight on Numeracy 

Each fortnight a different grade will be in the SPOTLIGHT sharing Numeracy inside the classrooms! 

Welcome to Numeracy in Year 1

Yr 1 have been learning to measure and compare areas using uniform informal units. They have been learning how to estimate areas and check by measuring. Yr 1 used counters and blocks to measure the area of different body parts of a superhero. They found that the number of counters to cover the area was different to the number of blocks.
