Mental Health Expo
Stage 5 and 6 students and staff had the opportunity to attend the Orange Mental Health Expo on Wednesday 22nd June, which was hosted by CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes. The event began with a talk from guest speaker, Actor and mental health champion Sam Webb. Webb co-founded the mental health charity “LIVIN” in 2013 after the death of a good friend to suicide.
The students had access to a range of Family Mental Health Support Services to assist children and young people between the ages of 0-18 years who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of, developing mental health issues and their families. Community members, schools, parents, carers, and students, were encouraged to attend, meet with services, and gather information.
