Term 2

NETBALL

The students in the Specialist Netball Program have been busy this term learning both on and off the court, continuing to expand their skills and knowledge of the game.

Off court students have been introduced to learning about Performance Analysis and how it plays an important role in identifying aspects of team and individual performances. They have had an introduction into how to record statistics and identify trends, what they mean and how that influences games and styles of play.

This has tied in well with our oncourt training where we have learnt the importance of systems and structured plays.

Our Strength and Conditioning sessions are  challenging and creating a great foundation for the students to improve their capacity to sustain training loads as well as understand the high expectations and standards required when training in the gym.  A massive Thankyou to Kris, Will, Nick and our star Deakin University intern student, Em. The students are fortunate to have your input and guidance.

We have upcoming our trials for our 2023 Netball Program open to all WHC students girls and boys who fit the selection criteria. These trials will be held on Friday 22nd July at Corio Leisuretime Precinct Anakie Rd Norlane 4pm-5:30pm.

Please see Cate Johnson for more details and to register.
