U11 Soccer Cup Friendly Match
Lockleys North 1 - North Adelaide 1
We only had 7 players this week and thankfully North Adelaide provided our team with 2 of their players. It was a great effort by the entire team which included some excellent defending and some good saves by goalkeepers Lachlan Kennedy and Lachlan Neitz. Also, a terrific run by Daniel to score our only goal. Keep up the good work for our final matches next week......

Saturday saw the boys last game of the season at St Clair. It was a tough game against some very skilful opposition but our boys can hold their heads high with a great effort from everyone.
The opposition was one short and in great display of sportsmanship Josh and Saranti both played a half for the opposition. Great work boys, you can hold your heads high as you played well for both of us... It’s important for all players and parents to understand that sportsmanship is one of the coaching outcomes for kid’s sport. Our kids showed fantastic sportsmanship and it was greatly appreciated from the opposition coach as well as from myself.
Lockleys North had plenty of shots for goal but just couldn’t convert due some great defence by the opposition. As it was the last game of the year the boys played in different positions and a stand out was Dante when he went forward. Dante ran the most I have ever seen him run, he ran forward in attack and he ran back to defend and help out his team mates. Dante was well and truly out of breath at the end of the game as he gave his all for the team. WELL DONE Dante.
Our ever reliable Yianni and Savva played well in attack coming ever so close to scoring on multiple occasions. Excellent work boys.
Josh played well as usual and he was backed up well by Saranti in the midfield. Archer made some big clearances and Jack H played really well in defence and gave plenty of opportunities to our forwards.
Jack A made two really good saves as goalie at critical times in the game.
Thanks to all the parents and supporters who came along to watch, help out and provide the half time oranges. Your support for the kids has been great.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the carnival and see the season off with a high.
