Last weekend the parent volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the day at Bunnings in Mentone! It was a very successful day, we managed to double our takings from last year with the final tally to come! A big thank you to all those who were able to come down and volunteer their time or support the school by buying a snag or two!
Important upcoming dates for Term 3
Saturday 27th August Battle of the Boots St Mary's Hampton Vs Hampton Primary School, Come down to Boss James Reserve at 2pm onwards to support the schools, there will be plenty of food, drinks and a whole lot of fun for everyone! Kick off is at 2:30pm
Thursday 1st September Father's Day stall, gifts are priced at $5 & $10, don't forget a shopping bag!
Friday 2nd September Father's Breakfast, don't forget to order your cheese toastie now!
Friday 9th September is the cut off for Pant-a-Difference, don't forget to raise money and choose a tree, shrub or a piece coral to plant!
This year St Marys is Going Green to help us achieve our 2nd Sustainable Schools Star!
For every $20 raised by St Marys, ONE TREE will be planted in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor or ONE CORAL planted in the Great Barrier Reef!
This initiative is an alternative to the Cadbury Chocolate Drive for 2022 and beyond and fulfils our school’s goal by going green to reduce waste.
Our fundraising goal is for each family to raise at least $50 so that we can match the chocolate drive whilst making a positive difference for our school and Australia.
It’s a fun way for the children to raise money & there are prizes to be won too…If your child achieves all the online Animal Badges, they will win A VERY CUDDLY, MINI MONTY PLUSH! They could be the highest fundraiser in Australia + win a Razor Scooter Pack worth $3000. Every family raising or donating $50 or more will also go into the draw to win a Great Barrier Reef Holiday! But best of all the St Marys class who raises the most funds will have PIZZA DELIVERED TO SCHOOL for lunch!!!
Together we can really make a difference…By raising funds and seeking sponsorship, we can:
- Improve our school
- Become ‘Environmental Champions’
- Win Prizes
- Spread GOOD NEWS about positive changes happening right here in Australia for our environment

Friday 9th September the grade 6's will be holding a cake stall stall after school, any baked items are welcome to contribute, please note all ingredients with your plates.
Friday 16th September Footy Colours day, dress up in your footy colours and enjoy a hot lunch! Details to come closer to the event.
