SRC News

On Thursday our SRC continued to work on our school prayer, Jack Smith led a discussion about our upcoming Fathers Day festivities, which include a liturgy at 9:00 for all fathers and father figures in our community, and shared an invitation that he made for them, attached below. We spent the rest of the meeting conducting mini interviews so that we could learn more about one another and share with our community in the coming weeks.

Here are Hosea and Coco (Yr1) , and Katie (Yr6).

Hosea in Year 1 likes playing sports at St. Mary’s, especially those where he can work on his throwing skills. As this semester’s SRC, he hopes to deliver messages for his class. A fun fact about Hosea is that he likes to play soccer and his hobbies include riding his bike.

Coco in Year 1 loves to do writing at St. Mary’s. As an SRC leader, she hoped to share more ideas with her class and the school. A fun fact about Coco is that she does dance, and likes going to the park.

Katie in Year 6 loves drawing and art., and likes using the tennis court for playtime and for sports. As an SRC she hopes to represent her class and share their ideas; her fun fact is she has a Golden Retriever named Percy.

Our SRC’s meet with our Year 6 Public Relations leaders and Mrs Whatmore fortnightly and are working towards driving school initiatives and express student voice and ideas. The SRC plays an important role in representing the student community in decision making, and organise ways for students to participate in and enjoy school life.
