Year 12 Support Unit

Graduation, such a proud moment

Dear Ayesha, Christina, Eric, Lachlan, George and  Alex

I was so proud and emotional watching you graduate at the graduation ceremony.

Each of you  looked confident and composed when you went on  stage to receive your portfolio.

I remember the anxiety your parents had during your first week of high school.  In six years that have flown past,  you have  matured, learned to face the hurdles of life, mastered a variety skills and are now ready for the next stage of your life.

Parents  and your teachers are so proud to support you all along the journey of your high school years.

Every little step you took were big steps towards your future.  I will hold you all close to my heart and will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Alex, we know you are looking down at us from in heaven and your brother Stephan received your portfolio with great pride.

As I wrote this speech, I can see you smiling at me with your arms out to greet me every day when I walk to the Unit. I miss your greeting and I remember your angry face if I ever paid more attention to someone else before you.

Congratulations  to our wonderful Year 12 students and all the best for your future endeavours.
