Book Week

Last week we were so lucky to celebrate Book Week 2022 with an amazing array of activities.

We got to dress up as book characters and parade around on the basketball court in front of all the classes, as well as lots of family and friends that came to visit.

We listened to and read loads of the CBCA short listed books and got to visit all the junior school classrooms to participate in a special rotation of activities, focusing on 3 of those amazing books, Winston and the Indoor Cat, by Leila Rudge, What Do You Call Your Grandma? by Ashleigh Barton, and Stellarphant by James Foley.

Then we had an amazing visit from Perform Education 

who presented a wonderful interactive performance - 2022 Story Quest.

Writing / Inquiry

We used the book I am Australian too! by Mem Fox as our inspiration for writing this week.

We wrote our own poems and created collages to match. 

Circus Skills

Students have been working hard to develop their skills, 

demonstrating enthusiasm and persistence throughout.
