Faith Matters

Dear St Francis Xavier Families,

The teachers recently gathered to begin planning our Faith/Inquiry Unit for Term 4.

The topic is 'Creativity' and we look forward to supporting the children to develop their knowledge and skills as well as share their own creative talents and investigate additional, unique ways of creative expression. 

This will complement some of the diverse experiences they will encounter in regard to expressing and developing a deeper understanding of our faith. Some classes will also be exploring the creative rituals and elements as expressed by religions other than Catholicism.  We believe this enhances our own faith identities and gives us a greater appreciation, respect and understanding of others.  

WHOLE SCHOOL MASS OCTOBER 9th

I have greatly appreciated the response from families indicating they will be attending our whole school mass on October 9th. We have a number of children who have volunteered for special jobs and have even been able to form a special choir who will lead the singing for the beginning and end of mass. I will send notes home at the commencement of Term 4 outlining details, including what your child will be doing.

All families are welcome, even if your child has chosen not to take on a mass responsibility, we would love you to join the celebration.
