Kiss and Drop Zones

The 'Kiss and Drop Zones' on Grallina Street has now been happening for 8 weeks. We have seen limited reduction on the traffic issues around the areas during this time.

Today we have had new 'Kiss and Drop' signs installed to clearly identify the zones. Please see the pictures below. 

We ask that parents continue to use these zones correctly and move forward as cars leave the zone to enable flow. 'Kiss and Drop' zones are not  parking areas and we ask that parents/caregivers do not park in these areas during the described times. 

The council and the school will continue monitoring the new zones effectiveness to make a decision regarding making this a permanent change.

We appreciate everyones understanding and cooperation during the initial stages of the new zones. 

Brian Street

We ask that all parents that are dropping off and picking up children on Brian Street follow the traffic/parking regulations and do not drive up to the school gates and then undertake a u-turn to leave.

This area is very hectic during drop off and pick up and we need to ensure the safety of our students and community members.

Before dropping off at Brian St please think about the route that you need to take after drop off or pick up and plan accordingly. If you need to return to Pierson St from Brian St in the morning to avoid the traffic on Rowells Road then drive past Brian St turn left at Rowells Road and then left onto Brian St. You are facing the direction you need to go without endangering any of our students as they cross the road. The trip itself might take a minute longer but it will be much safer for all concerned. 

Please be aware that the West Torrens Council will be monitoring this area more often as we have received many concerns recently from parents and community members.
