Out Of School Hours Care

OSHC News

My Time Our Place

During week 7 the children have spent time in the gym, the OSHC room, the playground and the OSHC garden.

In the gym the children have enjoyed taking part in group games such as golden child or playing with their friends and practising skills such as shooting, dribbling and catching. In the OSHC room the children enjoyed creating and decorating their own unique snowflakes by following a folding technique and cutting their own designs and shapes out.

In the OSHC garden the children were excited to see that some of the carrots have begun to grow and will soon be ready for picking! Outside the children have shown interest in skipping and practising the different styles of skipping such as criss cross and double dutch.

Immunisation Documentation

In order to comply with the national regulations, parents are now required to provide the service with a copy of any enrolled child/ren's vaccinations and immunisation records. Please provide the service with these records ASAP.

July Vac Care

July Vacation Care booklets are now available from the OSHC room, on the school’s website and has been attached below. Be sure to pick up a copy and return it to the service to secure your booking as spots are limited!

Active After School

If our Educators have not been notified by parents/caregivers that their child/ren are participating in active after school they will be unable to leave the service. If your child/ren will be attending an after school activity please notify the service in advance. If your child/ren are booked in for that day and do not come to the OSHC service prior to their after school activity the service will follow our protocol of contacting parents, if parents cannot be contacted the police will be called.

(Parents please remind your child/ren to go to  OSHC before going to active after school)

Medications

If your child requires medication please ensure that you have provided an action plan as well as the medication (asthma pump, Epipen etc.) to the service. It is vital that we have access to your child’s medication at our service whilst your child is attending.

Hats

As part of our sun safety policy children will not be required to wear a hat as of Term 2, this is due to entering the colder months. Children may still wear a hat if preferred.

Absentees

A reminder to all parents and caregivers to contact the service on 8443 5308 if their child/ren are no longer attending their sessions or have been collected early from school.

Dietary Requirements

At our service we aim to cater to children’s needs as much as possible, however, if your child has specific dietary requirements or does not like the food programmed for the day please pack an alternative snack or drop off food alternatives at the service.

Thank you
