Athletics Day

What a beautiful day it was for our annual Athletics Carnival on Friday, August 26.  It was so good to be able to have family and friends join us again and cheer the students on as they lit up the track.  Thank you to all those who came along and offered their support.

There were some outstanding performances on the day with several new school records set in the different age groups.

It's great to see our students striving the be the best that they can be.  We love seeing them grow taller, bigger, stronger and faster from year to year.  Most importantly we love seeing them grow in character as they develop resiliency, perseverance, humility, and sportsmanship.

We'll have a special assembly first thing on Monday, September 5 to announce the age champions - those students who earned the most points for their house.  Points are earned for participating but most points are awarded to those who place in their event.  Bonus points are awarded for breaking a school record.  You're most welcome to come along to the assembly on Monday morning. There will not be an assembly on Wed this coming week.  Ribbons for the track events were handed out on athletics day.  Ribbons for the track events have been (and possibly are still being) handed out by house captains now that all of the results have been finalised.

A number of our students qualified for the upcoming Primary and Secondary Interschool athletics carnivals.  They will be held this coming week.  Parents of those who qualified have been notified via EdSmart.
