Footy colours day / Jam donut day

Ocean Grove Primary School have the honour and responsibility of supporting two different sponsor children. Both these children are in need of extra support to help them get the best education possible – getting to school/ school supplies/ food / uniforms and confidence that somewhere in the world others are caring and supporting them.

Grade 4 classes support a student on the island of Tavueni in Fiji. Susu (pictured below) lives in a big family and whilst her father (farmer) and mother (bakes sells for locals) are doing their best to provide, Susu’s family would struggle to afford her school items. Susu is in high school now and OGPS been instrumental in providing support.

OGPS also supports a student through the Smith Family, where even within Australia families may struggle to provide all that is needed to attend school on a daily basis. Steven is in senior school now and OGPS have been able to support him for many years.

This year the Middle school leaders are having a footy colours and Jam donut day, just in time for the upcoming footy finals.

On Wednesday the 7th September all students are encouraged to wear their footy teams colours.

The mini jam donuts will cost $1 each. The order form was sent home with your child on Monday 22nd August and will need to be returned by Friday, 26th August.

The footy colours day will be a gold coin donation on the Wednesday 7th September.

Thank you for your ongoing support with our sponsorship of Susu and Steven.

If you have a child who will be starting with us in 2023 and they already have a sibling with us at Ocean Grove Primary School in 2022, it would be helpful if you could fill out an enrolment form (please see the link below) and return to the office. This will assist with planning for 2023.
