PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

BELIEVE IN POSSIBILITY. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
“The simplest and most practical lesson I know…is to resolve to be good today, but better tomorrow.” -Catherine McAuley
Welcome to the first edition of ‘Community’ for 2020. More than just a way to advertise College news and events, this newsletter acts as a voice for the members of our community to celebrate one another’s successes and connect.
It is both fitting and fortunate that we will focus on our core value of Community this year. We don’t have to look very far to see that we are all connected, that we need more than ever to support one another as human beings, as a college, as a region, and especially as a country.
With that in mind, we want everyone at St Joseph’s College to feel connected, to belong, to know that they have an important part to play in our community.
Virtue unites us at St Joseph’s College. Our motto ‘Virtue conquers’ acts as a daily reminder of our duty to the College, to those around us, and to ourselves. With hope and generous hearts, we give others our respect—both on campus and off—so that they in turn respect us.
In that spirit, we extend a ‘great-hearted’ welcome to our new students and staff. May this be the first of many successful and happy years for you at St Joseph’s College.
We invite all who might read this to join us as we discover new possibilities, encourage cooperation and create long-lasting connections. At St Joseph’s College, we believe in ourselves and the strength of our community.
God bless,
Mrs Marg Blythman
Principal
