Year 10 Students

Careers staff have completed the interviews with Year 10 students regarding their plans for 2020 and beyond. Students submit their selections for 2020 by the end of the day this Friday 9 August.  It has been a fascinating process talking with the students about their interests and strengths and their aspirations. Most students were very well prepared and had approached their decision making thoughtfully, often undertaking significant career research along the way. The hard work undertaken by the Year 10 Life Skills staff could be seen in the readiness of the students to engage in this process and their ability to articulate the reasons for the choices they were making. This was very much appreciated. A large number of students had attended, and/or were planning to attend, Open Days, which was a marvellous outcome of the Careers and Life Skills classes.

Year 12 Students

The VTAC Information Evening will be held on Monday night, 12 August at 7.30pm, in the Chapel and Performing Arts Centre. As previously mentioned, this is a 'must attend' event for Year 12 students planning to apply for courses for 2020 through the VTAC system. Pathways interviews with Careers staff will commence next Tuesday 13 August in room B21.  Interviews are scheduled during study periods. Interview appointment times will be distributed through Homeroom teachers by 9 August.  If you do not receive an appointment, please contact the Careers staff.
