Hackham Community Centre - Auslan Group

We are pleased to announce that the Hackham Community Centre has been working to provide the Deaf/HOH and Auslan communities with a space to connect with other parents down south.

This is a playgroup aimed at parents/caregivers and children who use Auslan as their first language. It aims to provide individuals a sense of belonging to community and form connections with others who use Auslan as their first language.  Held on 16/10, 30/10, 13/11, 27/11 and 11/12 from 9:30-11:00am at Hackham Community Centre, 72 Collins Parade, Hackham.  Ph 83923080 for further information.

We would like to invite all Grandparents/Kinship carers raising children to join other carers in a welcoming and friendly space. An opportunity to meet others, find out what supports are available to you and your child/ren and gain information/guidance on what is important to you.

Move "n" Play

Suicide Prevention Network

Let's Talk Onkapringa is a suicide prevention network run by volunteers in the City of Onkaparinga.  We have monthly meetings to plan and action ideas.  These are held on the third Monday of each month at Hackham Community Centre, Collins Pde, Hackham at 7:00pm.

We seek community members to help start lifesaving conversations and break down the stigma associated with mental illness and suicide. We need volunteers who will participate in community events, handing out information and connecting with community. We hope to provide education, training and resources to people who have suicidal thoughts or who support a person with suicidal thoughts.  Ph Michelle 0438060650 for more information.

Lullaby Project Australia

An opportunity to create your own personal song for your baby in collaboration with a Lullaby Project musician. Through singing, story-telling and song writing, participants will be supported by professional musicians to turn their dreams, hopes and ideas into a lullaby for their child.
