Congratulations to the following students who took part in the UN Youth EVATT competition in August.
- Thomas Muldowney and Edan Barclay who represented Niger in their round.
- Charlotte Rosman and Helen Do who represented France in their round.
- Aidan Murray and Sofia Zlotkowska-Eddy who represented China in their round.
This public speaking and diplomacy competition saw students assume the role of country delegates in a simulation of the United Nation's Security Council.
Students had to present their country's stance in relation to specific UN resolutions on issues of international security and had to negotiate with other countries to achieve the best diplomatic outcomes.
They did this in their own time, via virtual platforms, in the middle of a pandemic - amazing effort!
Hopefully VBC will have more teams to enter in 2021.
