MINI ATHLETICS DAYS

Last week the children from Year 5 participated in a variety of activities designed to assist them with learning some of the skills required for field events such as discus, shot put and long jump. Thank you to Mrs Tyrrell and the Colour House Captains for leading this great initiative.

CRICKET

Last night I received an email from Tamworth Junior Cricket Association regarding the 2020/2021 Cricket season. The season will begin on Saturday 24th October. Notes about this will be coming home next week as I am still waiting on the link for online registrations. The Junior Blaster and Master Blaster competitions for children in Kinder - Year 2 will also be happening.

THANK YOU

Although it has been a very mixed up season, now is the time to thank the coaches, players, and spectators for the winter season of sports. It certainly was an interesting season with only one term being played for most sports. Fingers crossed that the 2021 winter season will be back to normal where we can all enjoy getting out on a Saturday morning to watch a good match.

NETBALL

Dear Netball Families,

Well, the season is almost over for 2020. A big thank you for our coaches that just show up week after week and commit many hours to ensuring that our players take the court in a fair way. I know that this season has seen many challenges and I feel that TNA has been absolutely awesome in making sure that we have a season that follows COVID Guidelines. The ladies (and gents) were quite visible throughout the season in their vests checking that the one spectator/one player rule was observed. Thank you for doing the best that you could to ensure that you followed the guidelines.

For the St Nichs Storm who is in a final, goodluck! For those that just missed out, I hope that you had fun and improved your skills. All teams in the Net, Set, Go tier, you are still playing on Saturday.

Could all rental uniforms please come to Mrs. Elliott in a zip lock bag (if possible) with YOUR NAME on it.

I'll inform the netball community of the AGM- I'm thinking in the second week. If you would like to be in the Zoom meeting, please email me and I'll add you to the list.

There will not be a presentation afternoon this year. I will pass on trophies or medals to teams next term.

Thanks for your support as always!

BLIND SPORTS

TOUCH FOOTBALL

The season has begun with all our players turning up and enjoying the game.

All players have received information regarding Covid-19 restrictions, in particular only 1 spectator per child, please. At each game, there will be a clipboard to write your name and mobile, please look for this, thankyou.

***Kinder, Yr 1, Yr 2, Yr 3 and Yr 4 teams please note the change in the start time of 4.20 pm to alleviate the congestion of players and spectators leaving and entering the fields for the next round. See you there.

BASKETBALL

Attention current players: Tamworth Basketball is offering a shortened, 6 week Summer Competition to end the year. The competition will run from the 5th Nov - 10th Dec with NO finals. This season will cost $55 per player. Teams will simply be rolled over from this season, meaning no team changes will be made.  Teams will only be rolled over if there is enough interest as each team must have 7 players, with the payment of $55 made before the competition starts. (Please note, if there is enough interest in current teams without 7 players, all efforts will be made to fill these teams to allow for inclusion in the competition).

A survey has been emailed to all current families seeking your input on participation in this season (a separate form is to be filled out for each child). Please ensure this form has been completed by Friday 18th September. If you have not received the form, please email Mrs Hofman (rhofman@arm.catholic.edu.au).
