It has been a very quiet time for Facilities since the start of this second lockdown.
Contractors can only be engaged for urgent works to be completed during stage 4 Restrictions..
The roof leak repairs last term required a hold to be cut in the ceiling so it could be dried out thoroughly. This has now been completed.
The ceiling repairs started last Saturday and will be finished over the week-end.
The roof leak also wet the carpet underneath and it was so badly damaged a section had to be cut out. The bare floor section and the carpet edging has resulted in one EduSafe report so we have planned for all the carpet to be removed and replaced on Monday and Tuesday. This will save any more OHS issues in the staff room.
The building company have been notified of the outstanding defects in the new building. However most of them are not urgent in terms of OHS, so will not happen until COVID Restrictions are reduced.
Rob and Jacob have been able to catch up on outstanding maintenance jobs around the school so the school is looking lovely at the moment.
