End of Term 3 Prayer Liturgy

On the last day of Term 3, 2020 our whole school participated in a virtual Prayer Liturgy and mini assembly.  The Prayer Liturgy focused on "Jesus as The Light, The Truth and The Way" and how we can show our light in the special talents that we have.  This was followed by a message from Brad Close and Patrick Dangerfield from the Geelong Football Club, outlining the need to be a shining light for everyone like they are when they play footy.

Father's Day Prayer Liturgies

Father's Day Prayer Liturgies were conducted in every class with many dads and granddads joining the Google Meets on Friday 4th September.  The students were engaged in Father's Day activities and making something special for their dad.

Thank you messages

Our Social Justice  Captains, Anara and Francis, invited all students and staff to contribute to saying 'Thank you' through messages of thanks and hope to be sent to our local community:

  • health care workers, doctors and nurses;
  • emergency services: police, ambulance and fire brigade;
  • aged care/nursing home workers and residents.

October, the month of The Rosary

The Rosary Prayer - October is the month for praying The Rosary for Our Lady.  During this month we will be praying The Rosary and learning about its origins and significance for Catholics throughout the world.

The Rosary is dedicated to Our Lady and her feast day is celebrated on October 7th.  The Rosary is steeped in history and is said to be developed over centuries.  St Dominic is said to have seen a vision of Our Lady asking him to pray for repentance.  St Dominic devised the pray sequence as we know it today.

Traditionally, the students and staff pray 'The Rosary' throughout the month of October, and have engaged in this tradition in the "Mary Garden".
