Christmas at The College

Primary and Secondary Christmas Chapel

We had an extraordinary look into a novel aspect of the Christmas story this year and featured our Primary Music teacher Mr Harries as Mr GREEN – Mr Everett Green (Who let us call him Evergreen for short)

Through an interesting encounter where he finally broke out of the family shed, Mr Green, a run-of-the-mill Xmas tree, explored the Christmas narrative's important aspects and how the tree came to play such a featured role in our salvation story.

The choir sang up a storm, and our secondary students provided us with a nice take on the seasonal classics.

At the end of both services, parents were treated to another musical performance by the choir whilst partaking fresh Christmas fare, tea and coffee.

Kwinana Light Up The Square

Each year the local community gets together to witness the turning on of the Christmas Tree lights at the Darius Wells Community Centre.

The  King’s College Choir proudly represented and kicked off the program with some rousing and reflective carols.

Donning their Santa hats, they also took part in an impromptu expressive indigenous dance, and their rendition of an emu and kangaroo was commendable. It’s always with great pride that we accept frequent invitations to help lead events like this and Remembrance day etc.

Fundraiser: Wear Christmas Colours to School Day

Our wonderful Primary school students raised $374.00 for the Lucy Saw Centre, which assists women who are victims of domestic violence. The students dressed in Christmas colours and, for the privilege, made a gold coin donation to the centre. Mrs Clarke, our Christian Education teacher for primary school, organised this event.  Thank you, students, teachers and Mrs Clarke, for your generosity and care.
