Magis report

Our annual Magis Awards Breakfast was held last Thursday in the Thomas More Exhibition Centre (TMEC). It was wonderful to have so many staff, students, parents, and past alumni present – to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Magis and Altiora students. The Awards Breakfast also afforded us the opportunity to reflect upon the year that’s been. Click on the video to watch our 2022 Magis Highlights.

We also took time to farewell Mr Miller – who has been an extraordinary role model and mentor to our gifted and talented students. We thank Mr Miller for his tireless work, mentorship, service, and achievements that have positively impacted the life of so many of us. The Magis program has flourished under his inspired and dedicated direction, and we wish him all the best in his retirement.

A new award this year, has been named in honour of Mr Miller. The Jim Miller Magis Spirit Prize, is awarded to the student who has best embodied the College values and the Magis spirit of ‘doing more’. This year’s recipient wholly demonstrates this spirit: mentoring junior school students whilst balancing a demanding academic and competition schedule. Congratulations to Thomas Syminton (Year 10) for his outstanding service and leadership within the Magis Program.
