ITALIAN DAY - DRESS UP FUN!

We had some very different looking students arrive at school today. I didn’t recognise many of them and what a wonderful effort to celebrate our Italian day 2022!  We enjoyed gelati and pizza in amongst songs and games that really gave us a taste and feeling of Italian culture.  A big thank you to Signora Iebbiano & Signora Leach for your efforts today.

Days like this are what school is all about!

YEAR 4 & YEAR 5 CAMP

Both of our Year 4 & Year 5 Camps were a G.R.E.A.T success. Our camp team (staff and students) braved some rainy and wet conditions but that didn’t dampen the fun and adventurous experiences and opportunities camps provide.

Camps provide our students with a wonderful opportunity to try new things and challenge themselves. It might be having a go on the zipline and facing a fear of heights, working with a group of peers to complete a range of initiative activities like hut building involving leadership and teamwork or even simply being able to meet new friends or broaden a friendship group.

For many of these students this was their first camp experience and having missed last year’s camp due to Covid restrictions, it was GREAT that our Year 5’s were able to have the Camp Adanac experience that is a much loved part of our school experience.

These opportunities are only organised thanks to the dedication and commitment of our staff. Many thanks to Rachel Emmerling and Tracey Watts for their organisation of the camps and thank you to the staff who attended: Bonnie Jones, David Symeonidis, Brad Ryan, Molly Nihill (student teacher 4TW), Raelene Turner, Brooke Connane, Jake Rowley, Jordan Daley, Sheryl Munks-Callahan, Lynsey Barrett, Libby Egan & Maria Pargas (student teacher 5RE).
