Excitement builds for end of year events
A busy period lies ahead and a time of great excitement with music events dotting the calendar as we head towards the end of term. Our Senior String Quartet are in demand and will help to set the atmosphere this Friday for the Napier Club Christmas gathering at Murndal.
On Saturday is the event we have been waiting for, when the renowned Australian Brandenburg Orchestra arrives at the Kantor Family Music and Performing Arts Centre for a student workshop followed by their concert at 2pm. Playing authentic Baroque instruments including the extraordinary Theorbo and Baroque flute, this promises to be a most enlightening afternoon of music from...The Enlightenment.
On Tuesday 22 November at 2.45pm everyone is welcome to attend the Simons Auditorium for a musical tour through the Year Seven Instrumental Music Program as they conclude the year with a snappy concert. This concert will feature the whole of Year Seven performing as the Year Seven Concert Band and in instrument sections.
On Tuesday 29 November at 6.30pm we urge you to take the opportunity to be present in the Simons Auditorium for performances with the incredible Australian String Quartet. We are so pleased to welcome back the ASQ who will workshop with our students and plunge us deep into the world of the string quartet once again.
The Junior School Speech Day on Friday 9 December will showcase our Myrniong musicians as they celebrate their year in the Simons Auditorium.
Finally, we return to our advent home at St. Andrew’s on Monday 12 December to welcome Christmas.
