Student Voice

The Year 3/4 students loved all the different activities we did during our topic on procedures. They made stress balls, lemonade scones, Oobleck and they even wrote a procedure on how to play dodgeball.

Below are some of the students' experiences.

It was fun making a procedure about how to play dodgeball. When we finished, we got to play a match using the procedure we made to see how accurate it was.

We also made scones with lemonade, flour and cream. I enjoyed putting the flour in the bowl and mixing it with the other ingredients.

My favourite thing was when we made Oobleck. It felt so weird and sticky. We made ours green with food colouring. Thomas

I learnt a lot about procedures when we did them in Writing. We did a lesson on how to make stress balls, after writing up a procedure on it. We also did a lesson on how to play dodgeball properly.

When we made scones, I learned how all the ingredients come together to make food.

I want to make scones again because they were delicious. The ingredients were flour, cream, and lemonade.

My favourite thing we did was making Oobleck. It was both a solid and a liquid. It is made of cornflour and water. We used food colouring to make it different colours.

What I enjoyed most about the procedures was all the fun things we got to make. James

The Year 4/5/6 camp was a great experience. It was so much fun, my highlight was the rock climbing because we got to climb high and race others up the wall.

I loved when one wall was really hard and I kept going and I made it to the top. Some walls were so difficult but others were easier, that is what made it so awesome. I even got to race Mr Cirillo, which was quite funny because he was pretty slow.

I learnt how to belay someone, which is tightening the rope so the person doesn’t fall down the wall really far and hurt themselves.

Everyone was smiling and having a great time, the teachers were laughing and in awe of far we were up the walls. Oscar
