Dear Families,

 Who would of thought that in late November we would be putting on our jackets and needing umbrellas so regularly!! Melbourne weather has certainly provided challenges  for our school with wet day programs!!

Wasn't the disco a great night for our kids last Friday. I congratulate and thank Samantha Yap and her team for their brilliant organization and hard work. These people are acknowledged on our P&F page!  Students would say that the Disco is one of their  favourite activities we have on the calendar - so to 'have it back' after COVID restrictions was fantastic!  Well done to our students. Their enthusiasm and enjoyment was so evident and their behaviour exemplary.

Foundation Orientation Days

Thank you to our parents and staff team who supported our 2023 Foundation students last Monday at our second Orientation Session. Next week we will be giving each family a Foundation pack.  Please meet the teachers at the classrooms and parents come to the Performing Arts area.  Could all parents have their phone on in case the school needs to contact you at any time throughout the session.

The remaining Orientation sessions will take place on the following dates:      

Monday 28th November - 9.15am - 11.00am

Monday 5th December - 9:15am - 11:00am

There have been some questions around second hand uniforms. If available, second hand uniform items will be on sale for $10.00 per item. Please come to the office to make enquiries.

Camp Australia - Holiday Program Survey

 We are once again trying to gauge feedback from the community as to the possibilityof having a Rocketeers Holiday program on site at  St John Vianney's.  For parents interested in having  Camp Australia Holiday Program   at St John Vianney's please complete the survey  below. The survey will close on  Monday, 28 November 2022 5:00 PM. Please note that should a Rocketeers Holiday Program  be established at St John Vianneys, Brigitte  will not be the coordinator. It would also be open to other students from the area who do not attend SJV.

School Sports - 3rd time lucky!

We are planning for our School House Sports to be held on  Wednesday 30th November on the school oval. (Weather dependent).  

The day will proceed with the following schedule:

9am - 11:10am: Yr 3 - Yr 6 rotations (team games & activities) 

11:40am - 1:15pm: Prep - Yr 2 rotations (team games & activities)

1:55pm - 3:15pm: Whole school sprint races (Preps - Yr 6)

Students must wear their sports uniform - and can add some extra colour if they wish!  Hats and drink bottles will also be needed on this day.  

Parents are welcome to come along and cheer on their team.
